Overview: We are well into “The Year of the Rabbit” 2011. A common misconception might be that we are in for the warm fuzzies now, an extended Easter bunny hunt for chocolates and accolades. Nope. The frequency shift from Tiger to Iron Rabbit is one that embraces the underdog; an underdog with bite! The Middle East is showing us what that looks like, and what it feels like to be activated. In Egypt we just saw a revolution based on a community inspired and connected through the internet, and through courage, standing shoulder to shoulder. Other Middle East countries take up the challenge to shift towards more inclusive ways, and the prayers of a mindful global community support them. The energetic structure of 2011 supports community. Fairness. A potential desire to take care of each other. The prevailing consciousness of the public becomes the wind that issues in change. I’m not ignoring mankind’s oft chosen path of folly and injustice. If prevailing consciousness votes for greed, we will be in the next round of corporate piracy or political oppression. I am always choosing my belief team, which is based on all that strives to be good, and do good. We do not invent good. We notice it. What does social injustice look like in each of our little parts of the world? Or community involvement? The smallest act of kindness is a ripple that joins like action to form rivers of grace. In the renewal of Spring please read the script for your sign as a snapshot of both the work ahead for you, and the rewards, throughout the year.

    Aries (I am)  – March 20 into April 20
Aries is very compatible with the potential inherent in 2011. Balance is your key. The middle course, rather than the headlong rush allows you to stabilize. Last year was for your enthusiasm and momentum forward. Now it is time for appreciation of what is.

    Taurus (I have) – April 20 into May 21
Your challenge is in the art of communication. The year offers an opportunity to bare yourself, to move from self protection to sincerity. It is a favourable year for a deeper emotional connection to those that matter to you. Avoidance of this would be spiritual laziness.

    Gemini (I think) – May 21 into June 21
Gemini gnaws on the bone of uncertainty. Your decisions, choices, and resolved points of view in 2011 are asking you to clear away that which does not serve you. Welcome every opportunity to further self knowledge.

    Cancer (I feel) – June 21 into July 22
The Crab would tiptoe through 2011 if she could, using avoidance as a shield. Ego is being challenged, in a good way. This is a year to find the core truth within yourself, rather than the package deal of self that you have promoted.

    Leo (I will) – July 22 into August 23
Use your wits Leo. This is an excellent year for your ideas and your projects to flourish. Beginnings work well, so start the ball rolling. Timing is part of the creative process; appreciate it’s dance. Patient enthusiasm could be your mantra.

    Virgo (I analyze) – August 23 into Sept. 23
This is your “Let go, let God” year dear Virgo. Think of it as a diet for the soul. Who are you? Do you know? The accuracy of your self perception is the measure of your success in 2011. Keep your mind flexible for some refreshing new directions to flow through.

    Libra (I balance) – Sept. 23 into October 23
This “Year of the Rabbit” energy mixes very well with Libra sensibilities. Pay attention to my thoughts on dreams in the “end note” section. Dream, appreciate, play. Have confidence in your ideas and your point of view. Lead where you can.

    Scorpio (I create) – Oct. 23 into November 22
There is a richness of relationship available to you in 2011. There is also a propensity to isolate yourself. How will you navigate through this? You could tally up and then harvest the best of both worlds. Creativity blending with community.

    Sagittarius (I see) – Nov. 22 into Dec. 21
Much of 2011 will suit you. It’s a year for your personal charisma to shine. Make the hard choices that await you. You’ve tried to hold on and to freeze the status quo, with mixed results. You are now in the driver’s seat for risk ventures.

    Capricorn (I use) – Dec. 21 into Jan. 20
Caprice might be the best compass for you in 2011. Impulse mode and unpredictable situations will energize you. The year centres around learning mode. Be a student of life. Communication is your key and your burden.

    Aquarius (I know) – Jan. 20 into Feb. 19
In the clutter of ideas and emotions that make up our daily palette, can we choose the best; and dare to leave the rest? 2011 asks Aquarius to fine tune our gifts. Aquarius is about social conscience and shared purpose, which is also Rabbit fodder.

    Pisces (I believe) – Feb. 19 into March 20
You are called to the path of the warrior; one who pierces the skin of illusion to reveal it’s core of truth. So 2011 could clear up a lot of matters in your world. Or it could be confusing, irritating, somehow off course and unfulfilled. The choice is yours.

End note: Dare to dream in 2011. A “Year of the Rabbit” supports our dreamers; those visionaries who see our potential as clearly as our present reality. To dream is to embrace change. To dream is to know there is more than meets the eye within all situations. To dream is to know the possibility of The Creator. Webster’s dictionary describes a dream as a strongly desired goal or purpose. Dreams are also a series of thoughts and situation that occur in our sleep, and that sometimes offer inspiration. I woke up this morning from a profound dream that held me in the midst of community, seeing all the spokes of involved people and perceiving a new pattern of connection. I was mother spider weaving a new agreement of how we support each other in an evolving community. On awakening, I realized that my dream was directing me to the theme of this astrological report that you are reading. The best dreams are direct and sincere. True dreams are not for the lazy. When the time is right, dreams are a laser beam cutting through the fog of illusion and inertia. Do you dream of a new career? Is it a will-o’-the-wisp daydream to escape to, to self soothe with? Or is it a dream morphing into a plan? If we are willing to dream our hidden needs, the path of action will appear. Dreaming of personal health is a good function for 2011. This Yin Metal Rabbit year influences the lungs in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). Our lungs are the access point of air into matter, energy into matter. Our bodies are matter in both senses of the word. Matter that matters. Energy follows breath. Energy follows thought. Let’s think, dream, breathe  and expect health in 2011; vibrant physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.  We will follow the signposts that will appear in our individual lives and pull a rabbit of health out of the magician’s hat. Why not?
