Our Earth – Annual Forecast
Year of the Tiger February 14, 2010 to February 2, 2010
Tiger years: 2010, 1998, 1986, 1974, 1962, 1950, 1938, 1926, 1914
The “Year of the Tiger”, began on February 14, 2010, just as the Olympic Games were upon us. Vancouver’s street response of connection, inclusiveness, and a sense of national pride were all good measures of a Tiger time. We were awake, alert for possibilities, focused, and in the mood for success. Show our colours indeed. Tiger times call for clarity. Over the years, Canadians have been a little reticent on defining themselves. It’s not enough that we are not American, not British, not only our country of origin if we are recent immigrants. There is a rawness, a consistent lack of pretense, an elegance of kindness, a willingness to play the fool, an intrinsic practicality that shows our Canadian colours, shows our national heart. For many in Vancouver, the 2010 Winter Games gave us a reason to show up as who we are. Peace loving, and fighting fit where it counts – in a game, one with worthy opponents. In the end it’s just a game.
We are in the flow of new beginnings now. Tiger years love change. New beginnings are exciting. They offer a fateful moment when we can decide to vote for the uncertainty that is inherent in change; or we can vote for the familiar, the past, that which we understand through our experience. 2010, “The Year of the Tiger” offers a dynamic energy for us to ride into our future on. We’ve slipped from the persistent and plodding back of the “Year of the Ox” to the fluid and vigilant time of the tiger. Dare to be quickened. Choose an area of your life that needs attention and give it focus. Be it better health, more grace in relationships, a renewed sense of worth at work, or more time to appreciate play, your goals are worthy of your vote for change. Expect illumination in 2010. Tiger tiger burning bright. We are influenced by a segment of the astrological package that is strong, restless and imbued with a great hunter’s instincts. So lets use this frequency. Hunters have the ability to focus deeply, and are not distracted by the irrelevant. May our hunt be blessed with illumination, good fortune, and ease.
Aries (I am) – March 20 into April 20
This will be a year for your ideas to flourish. Follow your enthusiasms with glee. You are at the metaphorical crossroads of changing what you can, and accepting what you can’t. New worlds are built on such as this.
Taurus (I have) – April 20 into May 21
Tiger brings a depth of awareness to our Bull. Watch for a sense of the ability to penetrate deeper into the mysteries of your life. The downside of 2010 may be an increase in stubbornness that digs you deep into corners. This is an excellent year for travel.
Gemini (I think) – May 21 into June 21
Tiger energy is going to quicken an already quick personality. All is perception. “I think” joins with “I watch” in an impetuous flurry of potential. Balancing emotions, both your own and others while climbing Mount Everest or whatever, will be the trick.
Cancer (I feel) – June 21 into July 22
Drama is the name of the impending Tsunami for the Crab in 2010. Tiger brings heat and sparkle to the cauldron of moodiness you keep on the back burner. If you can keep on track, it’s a magical year for you. Think of confusion as a distraction to be set aside.
Leo (I will) – July 22 into August 23
Who will apply the brakes when needed? There’s a lot of fuel for projects available to you now. You’ll have to sort out blind impetuousness from inspired insight though. Your restlessness will need an outlet, preferably not a battle.
Virgo (I analyse) – August 23 into Sept. 23
Space. Movement. Choice. Watch 2010 open more potentials for you. You may find some of the missing pieces of the puzzle that is you. Enjoy the richness of self evaluation this year.
Libra (I balance) – Sept. 23 into October 23
This is a year to shine dear Libra. Watch for divine inspiration and be prepared to follow where your dreams lead. Complacency would be your stumbling block, and smugness your noose. You can do better than that.
Scorpio (I create) – Oct. 23 into November 22
In 2010, the lawless heart of the Eagle is given whimsical permission to explore beyond self imposed boundaries. You have a lot to offer the world. Bridle any Don Quixote impulse to be distracted by mirage, those fixed images posing as life and action.
Sagittarius (I see) – Nov. 22 into Dec. 21
Career is a highlight in 2010 for you. Trim the deadwood. Turn impulse into direction. This year is designed to show you where you have hypnotized yourself into inertia. Courage is the breath before flow.
Capricorn (I use) – Dec. 21 into Jan. 20
Trust is a key issue for 2010. Open the closet door where you’ve stored outdated boogymen. Let a fresh breeze blow through your presumptions. This is a year to take chances, and grow through experience.
Aquarius (I know) – Jan. 20 into Feb. 19
Ideas are like popcorn in 2010 for the Water Bearer. We’ll need focus to carry them through to useful purpose. The more we drink of the cup of self awareness, the more we have to offer the world. Advice from friends can keep us from falling off the edge of the world.
Pisces (I believe) – Feb. 19 into March 20
2010 gives you an edge of drive and focus that is much more fluid than last year. Beware of your temper as it is not so willing to be subtle now. Tiger energy will pop the lid on your tidy grace to release any undercurrents of emotional angst.
